There are countless event management blogs out there, but nobody has time to read them all. So which ones have the best information to get you ahead in the events industry.
Here’s our list of six event planning blogs that always teach us something new. To avoid any bias, we’re leaving the Social Tables blog off the list. (But you should still probably check it out!)
1. Endless Events
Endless Events is a nationwide event production company. They have experience helping their clients put on some pretty memorable events like Comic-Con, The Color Run, and the X-Games.
Putting on these events has been no easy task. But the team at Endless is eager to share their events best practices via their event planning blog.
Bonus: the Endless blog showcases a weekly, interactive video podcast called #EventIcons. Here, they bring in event industry veterans to do educational interviews for anyone interested in learning more about what makes events successful.
Liz King Caruso is a tech-savvy planner who knows that integrating technology into your events can drive success. Since Liz was always following technology trends herself, she decided to start an event planning blog to help others discover the latest in event planning technology.
Liz King also hosts an annual live event in New York called Techsytalk LIVE, where planners can engage with one another in a tech-forward environment.
Though it’s not technically a “blog,” BizBash is still a valuable online resource for all event planners. This site covers event industry news, ideas, and trends. You’ll find coverage of a wide variety of international events.
While BizBash’s content will help you learn about the industry, some of their tools can help you in your day-to-day work. Their venue-finding tool and supplier directory can help you to find the right venues and suppliers for any kind of event.
4. Eventtia Blog
Eventtia is an event technology company that creates best-in-class software for corporate, higher education, and association events. And they also happen to have an informative event management blog. Whether you’re looking for how to market your event, want ideas to engage attendees, or looking for a trusted recommendation for a new event tool, Eventtia’s blog has it.
5. OFD Consulting
OFD is a niche marketing and public relations agency that services the wedding industry. But their expertise doesn’t end at just weddings. Meghan Ely, the company’s owner, knows the events industry in and out. Her posts will educate you on topics that cover more than just events, such as advertising, social media, and networking.
6. Eventbrite Blog
The Eventbrite blog is a wealth of knowledge. If you want to learn about event basics, event marketing, or event tech, bookmark the Eventbrite Blog. Blog topics span every stage of the event lifecycle. This makes almost every blog share-worthy, no matter what role you play in making an event happen.
